The company MegaFon, the Russian universal telecom operator, today announced consolidated financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2012. According to the company's consolidated revenue increased by 14% compared to last year and amounted to 66,760 million rubles. Indicator OIBDA (operating income before depreciation and amortization) rose by 12% compared to last year and amounted to 28,263 million rubles. OIBDA margin was 42.3% compared to 43.1% in the same period last year. At the same time, the company's net profit over the same period last year decreased very significantly, by 85%, it amounted to 1702 million rubles. Free cash flow for the six months ended June 30, 2012, reached 26,867 million rubles. The number of active mobile subscribers of the company as of June 30, 2012 increased compared to the previous quarter by 0.8% to 63.6 million.
