life :) has announced the results of the second quarter of 2012

Ukrainian mobile services operator life :) has announced financial and operating results for the second quarter of 2012. As stated by the operator, in the last quarter, he continued to show steady growth in all key indicators, mainly due to increased subscriber base, the volume of data and international calls.

INCOME : In the second quarter of 2012 life :) demonstrated 13.6% revenue growth on an annual basis, which reached USD 799.5 million compared to USD 703.9 million in the second quarter of 2011. The main growth factors were: an increase in subscriber base of 1.4 million subscribers, revenue from data services and international calls.
EBITDA & EBITDA MARGIN : The EBITDA reached 242.2 million USD, which is 28.2% higher than the same period of 2011 - 188.9 million UAH. The main growth drivers are optimizing costs and increasing revenue. Focusing on business efficiency and operating profitability, life :) has continued its operational success, recording the second quarter of the highest in the history of the company's quarterly EBITDA margin of 30.3%. This is 3.5 points higher than the same period in 2011 - 26.8%. In addition, life :) the first time recorded a positive indicator of EBIT and continued to generate a positive indicator of free cash flow in 21.9%.
SUBSCRIBER BASE : life :) subscriber base has increased overall by 16.1% or 1.4 million subscribers on an annual basis, which reached 10.1 million subscribers at the end of the second quarter of 2012. At the same time an active three-month base grew by 15.6% to 7.4 million, which amounted to one million new active subscribers in the year. These results were achieved by the regional growth strategy aimed at attracting new subscribers.
ARPU and MOU : The overall ARPU in the second quarter of 2012 virtually unchanged at 26.8 UAH in comparison with the same period in 2011 - 27.3 UAH. In the second quarter 2012 index of 3-month ARPU decreased by 2.4% on an annual basis to 36.9 UAH in comparison with the same period in 2011 - 37.8 UAH.
NET LOSS : In this life :) quarter net loss decreased by 46.5% to UAH 84.4 million compared to USD 157.7 million during the same period in 2011.
