Samsung starts mass production of LCD panels with technology, "Optical sensor for each pixel"

Samsung Electronics announced the launch of mass production of 40-inch LCD panel with support for "optical sensor in each pixel."

As the producer, an LCD panel that uses this technology is capable of detecting the reflected image of objects using built-in infrared sensors. Optical sensors in each pixel provide a much more accurate recognition touch over existing touch panels. New items are able to simultaneously record up to 50 touches and a picture display Full HD with wide viewing angles.

The new LCD panel can independently perform all the functions of the input data specific to keyboards, mice and scanners. They can be used in devices such as "smart" table or wall mounted touch screens. Panel protected by tempered glass, which holds up more than 80 kg.
