The new Xperia T is coming to Vodafone very soon.
It might still be the Summer holidays (just) but we’re already gearing up for a busy Autumn and today’s announcement from Sony about its latest range of smartphones has got the ball rolling in style.
And the good news from us is that both the Sony Xperia T and Xperia J will be joining our line-up when they’re launched over the coming months.
The Xperia T is Sony’s best ever HD smartphone and our friends there tell us it’s going to appear in the hands of James Bond in the upcoming blockbuster, Skyfall.
Our very own JB – Jonathan Berrie from our devices team – told us what caught his eye about the new device when he first got to play with one.
“We could see early on that the build quality of the Xperia T is great and there are some clear points of differentiation on show to complement the great camera and display that we’ve come to expect.”
“The integration of Sony’s suite of entertainment services, for example, means you can access a host of rich content on the device – music, films, gaming, etc – and using NFC to enable one-touch sharing of content with other Sony devices is a really neat idea, well executed. People hold the Sony brand in high regard and it’s going to be really interesting to see the reaction to the new range when it launches.”
The Xperia J is a powerful, more affordable entertainment device, coming soon to both Pay monthly and Pay as you go price plans. With a large screen, great camera and access to a host of great entertainment services, the eye-catching phone also includes features like an illuminated alert every time you’re mentioned or messaged on Twitter or Facebook, making sure you’re always up-to-date and wired in to your personal network.
The two new devices will be joined in our line-up by the Xperia miro, a small, light device with full Facebook integration, making it great for socialising on the go. There’s no pricing information available on either device at the moment but we’ll share it as soon as we have more.
