Huawei Completes LTE TDD/TD-SCDMA Interoperability Testing

Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, announced that it has completed LTE TDD/TD-SCDMA multi-mode interoperability testing, demonstrating Huawei’s continued efforts to advance the development of TDD in the industry.

Huawei’s interoperability tests were completed using Qualcomm Incorporated’s MDM9615™ modem, which is highly optimized to support LTE (FDD and TDD), dual-carrier HSPA +, and EV-DO Rev. B. In addition, MDM9615 can also support TD-SCDMA, allowing for interoperability to occur between TD-SCDMA and LTE TDD. With the deployment of large-scale LTE TDD networks, efficient coordination and interoperability between TD-SCDMA and LTE TDD networks can enhance user experience. This interoperability will aid China Mobile in accelerating its network evolution to LTE TDD.

Mr. Deng Taihua, President of WiMAX & TDS & LTE Product Line, Huawei, said: “Huawei has again made a significant contribution to technology solutions, further promoting the development of the industry. Huawei's industry leading end-to-end solution effectively helps operators achieve commercial success in the mobile broadband era."

Huawei’s solutions for commercial LTE TDD networks enable an enhanced user experience by providing the best network performance, building the best convergent networks, and developing the best end-to-end innovative solutions. To date, Huawei’s vision for LTE TDD has helped operators enjoy continued business success throughout Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
