Report: mobile broadband is changing the world

New figures and forecasts in Ericsson’s latest Traffic and Market Report show how mobile broadband is changing the world.

The report, based on network-data statistics from operators around the world, paints a detailed picture of traffic today and how it can be expected to evolve in the next five years.

Johan Wibergh, Head of Business Unit Networks, says the report highlights global growth in access to mobile broadband. By 2017, 85 percent of the world’s population is expected to have access to high-speed mobile broadband – the same proportion that has access to mobile voice services today.
