Google advertising Nexus 7 on home page

Head to Google.com today and you’ll find an advertisement for the Nexus 7.  Big deal, right?  Actually, yeah, it is.  Google doesn’t advertise their Nexus devices all that often and typically leaves their search home clean.  That’s not to say they haven’t done anything like this in the past; Google advertised the T-Mobile G1 back in 2008.

We’re curious to learn whether this is a short term campaign or if it’s going to be around a while.  We have seen plenty of advertising support for the Nexus 7 including magazines, online stuff, and a TV spot.  For the first time we can remember, Google is everywhere with the $200 tablet.
