Archos 101 XS: ultra-thin tablet with a case-keyboard


The company introduced a new tablet Archos Archos 101 XS, which was the first in a line of Gen10 XS. The new model is equipped with 10.1-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, built on a 1.5-GHz dual-core processor TI OMAP 4470 Cortex-A9 and running the operating system Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, however, the manufacturer has promised soon after release to upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The new tablet is equipped with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, 1.3-megapixel front camera with video recording 720p, slot microSDXC (supports memory cards up to 64 GB), micro USB port and mini HDMI, and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The tablet has a small thickness and weight: 7.8 mm and 600 grams respectively. In addition, for the Archos 101 XS offers a convenient accessory Coverboard: magnetic shield for the display, which is both a QWERTY-keyboard.

Issue Archos 101 XS in Europe is scheduled for next month, and in the U.S. - in November. Cost of the tablet will be $ 399.99. In addition, near the end of the year will be released two ultra representative line: Archos 97 and Archos 80 XS XS, obviously ,9,7-inch and 8-inch tablet, respectively.
