The seven global mobile operators - KPN, NTT DoCoMo Inc, ROGERS, SingTel, Telefonica, through its division - the company Telefonica Digital, as well as Telstra and VimpelCom Ltd have entered into an alliance to develop an international M2M-business.
It is assumed that such an important step, as a collaboration of this group of operators will be essential for the complex and fragmented nature of the market for M2M.
In particular, when it comes to technology cooperation, this alliance will create a unique integrated solution to provide international companies M2M-communication. It is expected that as a result of the alliance members will be able to improve their ability to provide users the most optimum M2M-solutions in different markets and different geographical units.
Members of the alliance will provide customers with a new global product that is meant by the use of a single SIM-card and has a single WEB-interface, as well as the ability to centrally manage the status and connections M2M-devices that are used globally by Control Center Jasper Wireless. It is expected that it will start to reduce costs and empower users, significantly increasing their convenience.
The aim of cooperation of 7 global operators is to increase sales of M2M services in a number of promising segments such as consumer electronics, automotive, energy industry, etc., providing opportunities to develop new business models, new products and services to achieve a reduction operating costs for these target audiences.
Operators will collaborate on an ongoing basis in order to enhance the growth dynamics of the market M2M, empowering customers to best meet the needs and expectations of existing and potential users around the world.
