SAMSUNG Furthers its Commitment to the Corporate A3 Printer Market with New Entry Level Color and Monochrome Multi-Function Models

CLX-9201NA, CLX-9251NA, CLX-9301NA and SCX-8123NA, SCX-8128NA are built to offer reliability, lower total cost of ownership and ease-of-use

Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, announced a new line of color and monochrome multi-function printers that builds on its strong heritage in the printer business. With more than 21 years of experience in the printer business, Samsung brings to market new models ideal for small to medium-sized offices that feature an innovative user interface, increased performance, smaller footprint, faster setup and install time and a more economical and eco-sensitive toner system. The color series features the CLX-9201NA, CLX-9251NA and the CLX-9301NA and the monochrome series features the SCX-8123NA and SCX-8128NA

“With the introduction of these new color and monochrome series A3 MFPs to Samsung’s printer line-up, we are reaffirming our focus on our corporate customers,” said Tod Pike, senior vice president of Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division. “We consider a smart mix of A3 and A4 offerings a requirement. With our increased investment in A3, we are confident we can become one of the top global A3 producers by 2015.”

SMART USER INTERFACE
Both the monochrome and color models feature a large 7-inch touch screen that helps the user perform jobs more smoothly and with fewer steps. The interface offers a smooth swiping and scrolling capability, similar to a smart phone, allowing users to accelerate their document workflow by changing the order or canceling print/copy/scan jobs. The touch screen also allows users to create up to 40 shortcuts for the most-used functions.

JOB QUALITY AND FLEXIBILITY
Users can turn flat monochrome documents into full-color marketing collaterals through Samsung’s “Continuous Tone Reproduction” technology via an advanced in-house graphic processor. Heavy document printing and faster color scanning is possible with a fully-integrated 1GHz dual core Samsung chip solution.

All Samsung printers use our new polymerized toner, which delivers outstanding print quality. The toner particles are smaller and more uniform, resulting in crisp lines and more subtly blended tones.

COMPACT, LIGHT WEIGHT AND TIME SAVING
With their small footprint design in its class (22” W x 23.6” D), both the SCX and CLX models save office space for other large items in a production room. Additional optional items such as the Job Separator, a convenient tray that separates print jobs, and Inner Finisher, a 50-sheet finisher that provides document collating and stacking capabilities, can be installed in the main unit while maintaining the same basic footprint. The units’ light-weight design helps save time and labor with regards to installation and relocation.

The new printer lines have a setup/install time of about 20 minutes or less compared to competitive models that have a 45 minute setup/install time. To help speed up the process, an automatic document feeder (ADF) is preinstalled to the units and each unit ships in one box.

As part of Samsung’s commitment to the environment, all models come with Samsung’s S.T.A.R. Program, a free service that recycles empty cartridges into their major usable component materials and then reuses for other products. Single and bulk returns are available.

The SCX-8123NA (23 ppm) and SCX-8128NA (25 ppm) will be available in July 2012 for MSRP $3,900 and MSRP $5,540 respectively. The CLX-9201NA (20 ppm), CLX-9251NA (25 ppm) and CLX-9301NA (30 ppm) will be available in July 2012 for MSRP $6,310, MSRP $7,330 and MSRP $8,270 respectively.
