The impossibly thin DROID RAZR, and the DROID RAZR MAXX with all-day-all-night battery life, both just got even better with the powerful capabilities of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
You’ve told us what’s important to you, and we’ve been listening. In addition to all the great new features that Ice Cream Sandwich delivers to your smartphone, we are also making your DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX Global Ready with this upgrade – so you can talk, text, browse, email, and more with voice and data connectivity in over 220 countries.*
You want to be able to do more with your smartphone, faster and easier, so you can get on with your day. The first thing you’ll notice when you get Ice Cream Sandwich on your DROID RAZR or DROID RAZR MAXX is the new look and feel – a facelift for your phone, to make it easier to read and look at. For example, you’ll be able to make a call, send a text, or take a picture – straight from the unlock screen. You can also use the new face unlock feature where your phone will unlock with just a glance – no PIN or password! -- but only for your face, and nobody else’s.
Your smartphone keeps you connected, and the new browser you get with ICS loads pages faster, lets you open multiple tabs, syncs with your Chrome bookmarks on your PC, and lets you see the full desktop versions of your favorite sites more easily than before. When you’ve got something to say, try the new voice input engine. It types what you say in real-time – even punctuation – so you can give your thumbs a break.
With the new and improved camera app you get with ICS, you can capture time-lapse video and even take snapshots during video recording.
ICS on your DROID RAZR or DROID RAZR MAXX also gives you new data usage tools so you can see exactly where you are with your data usage and get alerted when you’re getting close to your limits.
These features are just the tip of the iceberg… there’s a lot more that will change when you get ICS on your DROID RAZR or DROID RAZR MAXX by Motorola, so we’ve pulled together more information and how-to videos for you at www.motorola.com/icecreamsandwich. Be sure to swing by to find out all the new things your smartphone can do.
ICS started rolling out this past week to DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX users. If you haven’t yet received the upgrade but can’t bear to wait for it any longer, check your phone settings, go to “About phone,” select “System updates” and you should see the upgrade available for download.
