By 2016, LTE-smartphone will be 9 times more than now

Resource DigiTimes quoted a study of the Taiwan Institute for Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC), which refers to sales of smartphones supporting mobile fourth-generation LTE networks worldwide. As reported by experts, 2012 will be sold 64 million such devices, and in 2013 - 188 million. It is likely that analysts' forecasts are correct, at least in general terms: cellular LTE networks now are becoming more widespread. For example, in U.S. service in the standard offer two largest operators - Verizon Wireless and AT & T, working LTE network in other regions, including in Russia, although we have yet to develop at an early stage. The experts also suggested that in 2016 the number of LTE-smartphones will grow 9-fold relative to that of 2012: their number in the whole world will be 586 million.
