Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has been selected by Sunrise, the largest private telecommunications provider in Switzerland, as its sole managed services partner for its fixed and mobile network. The Five year multi-technology agreement is one of the largest managed services contracts for Huawei in Europe and includes the transfer of staff from the previous technology partner as well as from Sunrise.
Huawei will be responsible for managing Sunrise's mobile and fixed network including internet and IPTV. Under the terms of the agreement, Huawei will provide a comprehensive range of services, including design and planning, network build and integration network performance management, field operations, network operations, and spare parts management.
Sunrise will benefit from a significant improvement in the network performance, end-user experience and network quality. Through Huawei's proven processes, tools and methodologies Sunrise will enjoy guaranteed quality and performance of both the fixed and mobile network, allowing it to differentiate and compete successfully in the market place.

This agreement is a significant milestone as it further demonstrates the rapid growth of Huawei's managed services in Europe. Huawei has managed operations in many countries throughout Europe, including United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Holland, Italy and Switzerland. To date, Huawei now has signed more than 240 contracts worldwide with a compound growth rate of more than 70% for six consecutive years.
