Carphone Warehouse web site reveals
UK PHONE SHOP Carphone Warehouse has revealed that the rugged Sony Xperia Go handset will be available in the UK from July.
Announced last month, the Sony Xperia Go is the sequel to the Xperia Active, featuring an IP67 compliance badge proving its resistance to dust, scratches and water. The pint-sized handset isn't just about offering protection against the elements, though, as it also features a decent 3.5in Reality Display and a 1GHz dual-core processor.
Other specifications include Android 2.3 Gingerbread with an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the works, a 5MP rear facing camera with HD 720p video, 8GB of internal storage, microSD support for up to 32GB of storage and a 1305mAh battery. Once released, the phone will be available in black, white and yellow models.
Although Carphone Warehouse's coming soon web page reveals that the phone will be available from July, there's no word yet on a release date or the handset's pricing.
Sony was unable to provide any further details.
