The company Qualcomm Incorporated announced the acquisition of a developer and supplier of programmable power management microcontroller - Summit Microelectronics from Sunnyvale (California, USA). As stated by Qualcomm, the acquisition will allow the company to expaand its portfolio of similar products, but also adds considerable experience in manufacturing, which has the Summit, releasing the power management microcontroller used in battery chargers and DC converters. In addition, it will allow the company to meet the growing demand for sophisticated single-chip system power management of mobile devices with a high degree of integration. All the staff will go to the Summit Microelectronics division of Qualcomm CDMA Technologies.
