Leading TV manufacturers organized a Smart TV Alliance

Founding Members LG Electronics and TP Vision (TV producer Philips) has officially announced the creation of the Alliance of Smart TV, which, in their words, soon joined by Japanese TV manufacturers.

As stated in the company, this alliance is intended to serve as a basis of cooperation, aimed at empowering Smart TV by creating an open ecosystem that will allow application developers to create attractive products that are independent of hardware platform. Education Alliance Smart TV followed the announcement of the cooperation of manufacturers of television sets at IFA-2011 exhibition in Berlin. Other participants will be announced on the website of the Alliance.
