NTT Docomo announces Galaxy S III (SC-06D) with dual-core CPU

Japanese operator NTT Docomo has announced its 2012 summer lineup, which also includes Samsung’s Galaxy S III (SC-06D). However, unlike the international Galaxy S III, the Japanese variant comes with a dual-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 1.5GHz processor (MSM8960).

The phone is expected in June or July and will feature Docomo’s Xi LTE service, NFC, 1-seg TV, Android 4.0 OS, 4.8-inch 1280×720 pixels HD Super AMOLED display, 8MP main camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera, microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB and 2100mAh battery.
