As you know, at this point, only two major manufacturers of mobile devices released to the market vehicles with the 3D-display: this is HTC and LG. On the screens of their smartphones HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 3D volumetric image can be seen. However, until now, such models - a rarity, though the situation may change soon: Samsung Electronics and Nokia filed in the Office of the U.S. Patent and Trademark (USPTO) application with a description of relevant developments.
Thus, the patent describes the Nokia dual-mode display that can show both planar and three-dimensional image, and between these modes can be toggled. In the application described Samsung about a similar solution, and, looking glasses on the screen the user is probably not needed. Of course, it is difficult to say when these developments will be implemented and planned to release it at all smartphones based on them. But if this happens, then the model from Nokia will work, most likely, based on the OS Windows Phone, but on the Samsung - on Android.
