Multi-Screen: Beyond the TV:
The Internet is changing the way we watch television. Television is no longer a one-way activity, but an interactive, community-driven experience. And this experience has expanded far beyond the television set. A recent Motorola MEB study has discovered that more than 69% of people watch TV in a device different from traditional TV. This gives an intelligent and efficient way to enjoy a personalized TV experience through your smartphone, PC or tablet.

Televation –winner of Light Reading’s Leading Light Award, Communications Technology’s Platinum Award, and a Broadband Technology Report Diamond Award – lets consumers watch live TV on their tablets, anywhere at home. It's the only solution that delivers a full cable subscription onto the tablet, wirelessly.

Users who enjoy watching movies and would like to easily get contents of TV, can use tablets, and Televation, to watch anything, anywhere in their home. Through their decoder, they will have access to more IP services, Social TV and merchandising.

DreamGallery from Motorola. Dreamgallery creates an easy way to discover sports, movies and your favorite shows from your TV screen. Discover next-generation TV that’s as personalized, dynamic and rich as the Internet. Service providers can offer an on-screen interface that can be customized to each subscriber and updated on-the-fly to include new services, features and applications. DreamGallery will also allow them to deliver the first consistent TV Everywhere experience across multiple screens.

SecureMedia® –winner of 2012 IP&TV Industry Award for "Best Rights and Asset Management Solution" Video Content Protection and 2012 InfoVision Award for "Asia Broadband Innovation of the Year" - Advanced Content Protection is securing content and ensuring that it is sent only to the devices for which it is intended to and it becomes much more complex in the multi-screen world. Service providers face a matrix of different adaptive streaming formats, security technologies and video playback applications to reach a wider range of consumer devices.

Motorola’s SecureMedia Encryptonite ONE™ HLS+ streamlines the entire content processing and delivery process for multi-screen applications – while ensuring the protection of digital rights and the security of the content streams. This robust system complies with the latest Hollywood studio secure-delivery specifications for multi-screen applications.

Connected Home Gateway:
This is the newest product of the 4Home platform , which has been awarded for its design and engineering at CES 2012. The powerful 1.2Ghz processor, allows the user to control and monitor, remotely, all devices at home, in an elegant and easy way.
Adding connected home services – such as home control, home security and energy management – has never been easier for consumers and service providers, thanks to the Motorola Connected Home Gateway, which handles the complexity of today’s home networks as well as the traditional obstacles of service installation and maintenance. All consumers have to do is plug in the gateway, and the unit automatically connects their home control devices to the home network.

Now, with just the push of a button, the devices in the home can be paired wirelessly and connected to the cloud for remote management on a host of devices. And connected home services can be added, managed and troubleshot on the fly.

Motorola 4Home software platform for cable represents the ultimate in flexibility and future-readiness for connected home deployments. Open-standards and device design enable it to support the full range of devices commonly found at connected homes. There is no need to upgrade or replace expensive hardware when new technologies or new products. The same flexible design lets operators scale their portfolios to include new services seamlessly, without major difficulties.

Motorola’s DCX3600 IP Video Gateway marks the set-top’s evolution into the entertainment hub of the home. This advanced video gateway enables a truly connected home environment by merging traditional broadcast TV with new IP-based content and capabilities for viewing across the household on multiple screens. Consumers can view, record or play video on any networked device, in any room, seamlessly.

Bandwidth Optimization:
Our evolution of intelligent network offers the client a full environment for the home of the future. With this service, Cable providers will have different video and IP platforms that will help to optimize bandwidth, using an infrastructure with devices on the network and over WiFi.

Consumers can’t get enough on-demand content. Substantial VOD growth and new network-based DVR trials have increased delivery needs for narrowcast video. Today, Motorola is showcasing the Motorola APEX3000 to meet this growing demand. The APEX3000 Universal Edge QAM (U-EQAM) offers market-leading density, power and cost savings.

Motorola Mobility is leading the industry’s discussion on how today’s high-density U-EQAM solutions will migrate towards a CCAP architecture. The APEX3000 offers 8x the density supporting 384 QAM channels per RU or a total of 1536 QAM channels per 4 RU chassis versus our lower density APEX1500 solution. Two APEX3000s can replace two entire racks in the hub of previous generation EQAM solutions--Saving 20RUs, 280 cable runs, 26MWh electricity saved annually

With all of these solutions of convergence experiences, Motorola Mobility shows how cable operators can capitalize their investment thanks to the convergence of the wireless technology, multimedia applications, and internet; supporting them to generate opportunities with their subscribers in Latin America.
