Megaphone: the first in the world of the underground airwaves

May 17 was held in Nizhny Novgorod, the world's first Internet radio broadcast from the station - with the help of Wi-Fi to MegaFon in the subway was full of urban air "Openstream". The initiator of the event was the company Vodafone, which had recently launched a free Wi-Fi at the station "Komsomolskaya" Metro Nizhny Novgorod. With the help of proprietary routers, set to "Komsomolskaya", the operator gives everyone free access to the Internet at speeds up to 4 Mbit / s. To view the mobile Internet radio stations "Openstream" such facilities are more than enough: a portable device that fits in the two backpacks, broadcasts at speeds 192 kbit / s when connected to a data channel. The world's first underground-broadcast starts May 17 in 18 hours. Over a hundred minutes of the creator and presenter of programs on "Openstream" Alexander Soleev included records from the subways of different cities in the world, talking with passengers, and Nizhny Novgorod bloggers. According to residents, the Internet in the subway is needed, above all, to return to the social network of news and views from mobile devices.
