NTT DoCoMo, Samsung and other companies have not signed the agreement on LTE

Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo announced that the union of a number of companies in the alliance to develop LTE-chips will not take place. Among the initiators of such a union were Fujitsu, NEC, Panasonic and Samsung, however, until the end of the fiscal year that ended in late March, they failed to implement a joint venture in life. According to the official wording of the agreement on the timing could not be reached. Meanwhile, NTT DoCoMo for its part has put considerable effort. In particular, the company was founded Communication Platform Planning Co., Which is now closed and will be eliminated. What it did not agree these companies are not specified. It was assumed that companies will be able to develop uehggf LTE and LTE-Advanced chips that could be used in mobile phones and other devices. Companies should not have their own factories for the production of chips, although the same company Samsung has already had a factory and produced the product. As a result, the differences are now companies will have to either develop and manufacture chips themselves (like Samsung) or purchase components from third-party vendors (eg, Qualcomm).
