Nokia Lumia 900 in Magenta Looks Like a Lock; Sales Start in May?

Earlier this month, we got a look at a display in a Microsoft store that revealed a new magenta color option for the Nokia Lumia 900. At the time, we only had the choice between black and cyan, but since then, AT&T's started selling the 900 in white, as well. Even with that model now available, we had yet to hear anything official from either Nokia or AT&T about this magenta version. Now, it looks like Nokia, at least, is fully embracing the magenta 900, now showing the model as a color option available through its Facebook app.

This still doesn't give us any idea when AT&T might hope to make the magenta 900 available to customers in the US; given what we've heard manufacturers say about carriers not being too keen on smartphones that sport colors associated with rival networks, we can certainly see why there might be some hesitation here.

One theory has AT&T preparing the magenta 900 for Mother's Day, which will take place on Sunday, May 12 this year. If that's to be the case, we can expect to see AT&T start promoting the model sometime in the next couple weeks.
