Samsung will release a digital camera based on Android?

Company Samsung Electronics, apparently preparing to release a camera under the operating system Android. Earlier hints of it have already appeared, as the company registered the trademark Samsung Galaxy Camera. Now the resource Engadget reported that during the conversation with Samsung in its headquarters, it came to choosing open source operating system for future cameras.

The source said the issue is being discussed and so far nothing concrete has been clear, but it is a logical choice for a new digital camera (or a line of cameras?) Samsung would be the operating system Android, smartphones and tablets because the company is working on its basis. Digital camera running Android would open new opportunities by installing different applications on it, for example, image editing or publishing them on photo sharing and social networks.
