Nokia has completed a series of staff cuts in Finland. As part of this reduction was fired a thousand people, mostly engaged in software development. The last plant engineers were fired in Salo, who also were involved in the development of programs. The remaining staff will be involved in plant adaptation models for European operators. This is not the last large-scale staff reductions due to the reorientation and the optimization of the company, which began CEO Steven Ilop (Stephen Elop). In 2012, the layoffs will continue in Western Europe. The next significant reduction is expected in June, but the number of employees who will be laid off this month was announced.
