The Finnish company Nokia has announced that it plans to changes in manufacturing operations to improve efficiency of smartphones. The changes affect plants of the company, located in the cities of Komar (Hungary), Reynosa (Mexico) and Salo (Finland).
These measures are part of the company's strategy, which was announced in September last year and aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the company's various global mobile market.
These three plants the company is going to translate a service consumer and custom manufacturing in Europe and America. Assembly production company is going to move to Asia, where, as the company said, are the main suppliers of components.
As a result, the plans will be excluded certain stages of production, and reduced the amount of work in factories in Komar, Reynosa, and Salo. Changes in production is expected to entail the dismissal of 4,000 workers.
Staff reductions will take place in stages until the end of this year.
