MWC: New Intel chipsets for smartphones and tablets

Intel is expanding range of processors and chipsets for mobile devices. At the exhibition MWC were announced two models, which continue the series begun by the chipsets already in use in apparatus and Lenovo K800 Orange Santa Clara. The first of these Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core Medfield with HyperThreading, which allows to work simultaneously with four threads. CPU clock frequency of 1.3 GHz, and using the Turbo Boost up to 1.8 GHz. The chipset combined with these core graphics PowerVR SGX544MP2, which in theory is twice more productive than SGX543MP2, installed in the iPhone 4s. At Intel designed and LTE-modem that can work together with an Atom Z2580. Thus, despite the fact that the chipset is a commercial real solution to use in smartphones and tablets before the first half of 2013. Also, there is no evidence that the second model will be available for commercial vehicles in the near future. It is more simple and less productive version of the Atom Z2000 with a single core processor with a clock frequency of 1 GHz and without HyperThreading. Graphics card chipset SGX540, and the radio part is based on Intel's proprietary module HSPA +. This solution is designed for low cost smart phones.
