MTS Bank - the new name at the junction of the banking and telecommunications sectors

Joint-Stock Commercial Bank Moscow Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD JSC) has announced the change of the old name and renamed in JSC "MTS-Bank" (Bank of MTS), using as a basis for further development of the MTS brand, owned telecommunications operator in Russia and the CIS JSC " Mobile TeleSystems ".

The Board of Directors approved the name change last year, simultaneously with the adoption of a new development strategy of the bank. February 16, 2012 the bank received from the Bank of Russia registered the changes to the Constitution with a new name, the general license and certificate of registration in the Unified State Register of legal entities. From this point on MTS Bank officially received a new name.

As is listed in the application, change the name - the first step in the rebranding of the bank, which opens up new possibilities in the way of the creation of large-scale federal universal bank with a strong network and an extensive client base. The new strategy of the bank until 2016 envisages increasing the loan portfolio and expanding range of banking products to private customers, primarily through the retail network of mobile operator MTS, whose brand name was the basis for the bank. In turn, the operator will be able to provide complete solutions based on integration of service providers and banking services such as mobile commerce, the development of contactless payment technology, NFC and offer in its wide range of retail banking services.
