"VimpelCom" announced the expansion of the network in some areas of the Central region

Telecommunication operator JSC "VimpelCom" said the expansion and modernization of 2G and 3G networks in several areas of the Central Region.

In the Tver region emphasis is on building a network extension of coverage 3G network popular tourist areas of the region, as well as local motorways and federal highways that pass through the Tver Region. In addition, it is reported that the 3G network launched in a number of settlements along the roads of local importance, which improved the quality of high-speed Internet on the move in Tver region.

The operator also announced the provision of additional covered network "Beeline" based on 3G technology of the federal highway Moscow-St Petersburg and Moscow to Riga.

In the Voronezh region in 2011 the number of 3G base stations, "Beeline" has more than doubled. The total mobile internet traffic grew by 3.5 times.
