Automatic Protocol Signature Generation Framework for Deep-Packet Inspection

This paper presents an automatic application-protocol signature-generating framework for Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) techniques using algorithms from the field of bioinformatics. It also proposes pre-processing methods to accelerate the system, post-processing techniques to improve accuracy, and a viable DPI system.
