Might have to wait until January for SIM-free
The Sony Xperia T is expected to make its way into shops between September 27 and 29, but if you fancy some SIM-free action you might have a bit of a wait.
Speaking to a spokesperson from Expansys, TechRadar was told that Sony is planning to launch its latest flagship smartphone between the 27 and 29 of this month, however the exact date is yet to be finalised.
This date falls in line with a statement we recieved earlier today from Sony, which said: "We are still on track to deliver the Sony Xperia T before the end of the month."
Contract killer
However the site doesn't expect to be able to stock the Xperia T until as late as possibly January, as talks with Sony revealed the handset will be only available on contract first, direct from networks and from a couple of high street retailers.
Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U, understood to be the two retailers given exclusive access to the Sony Xperia T early doors, already have a range of tariffs associated with the smartphone on their sites, but currently only with Orange and O2.
Three has also confirmed that it will be ranging the Sony Xperia T, although we're yet to hear any pricing details, and we'd expect Vodafone and T-Mobile to follow suit in due course.
The spokesperson also mentioned that Expansys expected to see the Sony Xperia J arrive during mid-October, following its talks with the Japanese manufacturer.
