Huawei Cloud Congress 2012 Shows How Enterprises Can "Make IT Simple, Make Business Agile"in the Cloud Era


Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, officially kicked off its third annual Huawei Cloud Congress (HCC 2012) at the Shanghai International Convention Center in Shanghai, China. The two-day event brings together more than 3,000 Huawei partners, customers and industry experts to discuss IT practices and transformation in the cloud era. With the theme of "Make IT Simple, Make Business Agile”, HCC 2012 will showcase the latest in Huawei's comprehensive portfolio of cloud products and solutions, as well as the progress that Huawei and its more than 400 partners have made in regard to products, solution capabilities, and business innovation.

Achieving Sustainable Growth With Our Customers

Huawei started investing in IT research for the CT field 10 years ago. Last October, Huawei formally established its IT Product Line, which has become an important component of Huawei's development strategies. In March 2012, Huawei completed the acquisition of Huawei-Symantec, which has strengthened Huawei's leading position in providing storage and security solutions. The company's investments and integration are aimed at helping enterprises stay abreast of IT technological changes and simplifying their IT systems to adapt to business transformations and achieve sustainable development in this new climate. Huawei continuously increases R&D investments in the IT field to improve its innovation capabilities and core competitiveness. There are 10,000 employees dedicated to the IT field, as well as multiple cloud computing delivery capability centers in Shenzhen (HQ), Beijing, Xi'an, Hangzhou, and Shanghai.

Launch of FusionCube and High-end Storage Products

At HCC 2012, Huawei also launched its latest portfolio of IT products and solutions, comprising FusionCube Converged Infrastructure and three high-end storage products, that help enterprise organizations create simple and efficient IT systems to achieve business agility.

FusionCube Converged Infrastructure:FusionCube uses leading converged infrastructure to integrate software (virtualization, cloud management and distributed storage engine) and hardware (servers, storage devices and network devices). Providing an all-in-one management system, automatic deployment and efficient maintenance, FusionCube helps enterprises consolidate and optimize IT systems and migrate to the cloud platform conveniently. Providing simplicity, agility and high efficiency, it helps customers to focus their core business and increase the value of IT.
OceanStor HVS: The OceanStor HVS series of enterprise-level storage systems deliver the industry's highest specifications. Huawei's HVS series uses Smart Matrix Architecture, and is equipped with XVE, a virtualized storage operating system dedicated to high-end storage systems. The HVS series is designed especially for next-generation enterprise-level data centers, and is equipped to store core business data. The HVS series is reliable, efficient, and flexible, making it suitable for customers across different industries who have with large, data-intensive IT environments.
Universal Distributed Storage (UDS) Systems: The UDS features EB-level scalability, extreme reliability, and efficient integration to meet enterprises' increasing data storage, sharing, and management requirements. Specifically, the UDS achieves EB-level scalability using horizontal expansion technologies, protects data privacy and availability with a variety of safe and reliable storage technologies, and improves operation and maintenance efficiency with deployment automation and lifecycle management policies.
MVX Big Data Storage Solution: The Huawei Big Data Storage Solution uses the next-generation scale-out architecture and incorporates an innovative "X-in-one" approach to help users build a big data storage system. The Huawei Big Data Storage Solution is the first in the industry that integrates scale-out network-attached storage (NAS), scale-out databases (DBs), and scale-out backup, to provide a cluster storage system that manages the entire lifecycle of big data.
Openness and Collaboration to Achieve Win-Win Business Outcomes

At HCC 2012, Huawei joined hands with over 20 partners, including Intel, SAP, Citrix, Yonyou, Accenture, Centerm, Seagate, VMware, CA, Asigra and Hill Stone, etc, to showcase IT products and solutions. To date, Huawei collaborates with over 400 partners to create more value for customers by providing diversified and vertical solutions.
